Places to visit

Kiltarlity Lodges provide the visitor to the Scottish Highlands with an excellent base from which to discover all that the area has to offer. Magnificent mountain scenery, superb rivers and lochs are all close to hand. Picturesque Strathglass is only a short drive away and provides access to some of the most beautiful Glens in Scotland: Glen Strathfarrar, Glen Cannich and especially Glen Affric now a National Nature Reserve.

En route to Glen Affric enjoy waymarked walks at Dog Falls but also make a detour and visit the spectacular Plodda Falls, pictured right. See a wide range of Highland wildlife such as Red Deer, Osprey and Pine Martin.

The Park is only 10 miles from Loch Ness, known throughout the world for its elusive monster! Other attractions by the lochside at Drumnadrochit include Urquhart Castle and various Exhibitions Centres, as well as a number of places to eat and drink. Further on at Fort Augustus, the Caledonian Canal Locks and small heritage centre are well worth a visit.

The vilage of Beauly is only 5 miles away. a former winner of Britain in Bloom it has excellent visitor facilities including shops, bars and restaurants. The Beauly Centre has a number of exhibitions including the Clan Fraser Room.
